inFusion Error Processor is an extension to Website (version 1.1e or higher or any version of Website Professional). iEP allows you to customize three types of server error responses - 401, 403, and 404 errors.  This software was inspired by the original HAL9000.DLL written by Mark Bracewell of O'Reilly Associates.

The iEP distribution comes with the DLL, documentation, and sample html files.  There's also an included example of how you can redirect a user to a Cold Fusion page (the included samples are #404-cfm.html and 404.cfm which are installed into the Website server root). If you want super fast connections to ColdFusion, iHTML or PERL without redirects you can also try iEP Plus (see below).

iEP standard version is distributed as copyrighted freeware in the spirit of the original HAL9000 DLL. If you want enhanced processing (including the ability to use any number of ISAPI compliant DLLs like ColdFusion, iHTML or Active State PERL to handle 401, 403, and 404 errors) iEP Plus includes all of the features of iEP Standard plus a new tag that redirects processing to ColdFusion. iEP+ uses the same DLL as iEP Standard and is enabled via a software key.  iEP+ also includes enhanced URL directory searches so you can have iEP templates in any directory.

Our site uses iEP+ for error page processing. The error page is rendered using ColdFusion and has the exact look and feel of our site. Click here for an example of a 404 error.

iEP Plus is available for $149 (A serial number is required only for the iEP+ functionality - it is not required for iEP standard to function. You can get a free 60 day trial of iEP+ by entering a serial number of "DEMO" during installation. After the 60 day trial has elapsed iEP will continue to function as iEP standard version.
